wash in running water.
Cut the stem into small pieces (size 1 inch). Take a pressure cooker that can hold more than 2 litres of water.
Smatch the stem with a hard object till the bark brakes out (this is to be done like ginger or garlic before cooking)
Put the smatched stem in the pressure cooker and pour 2 litres of water. Put the pressure cooker over the gas stove and let it boil.
Let the pressure cooker release ten whistles.
Switch off the flame and let the medicine cool down. After cooling use a strainer to separate the water from the stem. Discard the waste stem. Now your medicine is ready.
To check if you have done this method properly, take the boiled stem and rub between your fingers, the centre spine and pulp will separate easily. If you taste the pulp it will be tasteless.
This whole operation will take about 1 hour.
